On the 9th of September, Monday, the
English Literary Club at Salafiyya Training College organized a Poem Writing
Competition centered around the theme "Dreams and Reality." The
event, moderated by Mrs. Rajitha, Assistant Professor at the college, saw enthusiastic
participation from students, each bringing their unique perspectives on the
theme.
The theme "Dreams and Reality"
prompted students to reflect on the contrast between the ideals of their dreams
and the tangible challenges of the real world. Mrs. Rajitha, in her opening
speech, emphasized the importance of poetry in expressing both personal
aspirations and the difficult truths we face in life.
The competition was judged by Dr.
Narayananunni, Assistant Professor at Salafiyya Training College, who praised
the creativity and emotional depth in the poems submitted. Participants
explored various facets of dreams, from ambition and hope to the inevitable
confrontation with reality. Each poem demonstrated a strong command of language
and imagination, with students skillfully expressing their thoughts through
metaphor, rhythm, and vivid imagery.

Third Prize: Fathima Ansha
These students stood out for their
exceptional ability to convey the complex interplay between dreams and reality

After the competition, Dr. Narayananunni
addressed the students, commending them for their thoughtful and inspiring

The event concluded with the
distribution of certificates and prizes to the winners, followed by a vote of
thanks from Mrs. Rajitha. She expressed her gratitude to everyone for their

judge.
Overall, the Poem Writing Competition
